Simply put, negligence is the failure of an individual or corporate entity to use reasonable care. If a person fails to use reasonable care, and this failure results in another's injury, then the person who failed to use reasonable care will be considered negligent. And under Florida law, when a party fails to use reasonable care and negligently causes an injury or loss to another, that party is held responsible for all of the costs and damages that result from the injury or loss.
